Extractor/Crystal Glass to Serve as the First Innovation Award Sponsor of the 2008 Auto Glass Technician Olympics

Extractor/Crystal Glass of Edmonton, Alberta has signed on as an innovation award sponsor for the Fourth Annual Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO). This year's AGTO will be held in Las Vegas November 7-8, 2008, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The event is co-sponsored by the Independent Glass Association and AGRR magazine.

"Extractor/Crystal Glass Canada is pleased to support the participants in the 2008 Technician Olympics," says Win Parnall, operations manager for the company. "It's a pleasure to be able to showcase our products to people that actually use them in their livelihood. This is a unique event that highlights the finest installers in North America. We truly hope that is carries on for years to come and wish to extend 'best wishes' to all of the participants."

The Innovation Award was first presented during the 2007 event. The judges agreed that some of the tools and techniques being utilized were safe, effective and innovative and deserved an additional recognition. The 2008 AGTO will continue to carry on the tradition and award any contestant utilizing a new method successfully and safely.

The first-place winner in the AGTO will receive and increased first prize of $10,000, a gold medal and trophy as well as bragging rights as the "World's Best Auto Glass Technician." Second place will receive $1,000 as well as a silver medal and third will receive $500 and a bronze medal.
