Atlanta’s Hail So Thick It Looks Like Snow

Hail from penny to golf-ball sized fell in the Atlanta area Monday accompanied by a tornado warning. In some areas the hail on the ground was so thick it looked like snow. What impact has this storm had on Atlanta AGRR businesses?

“We haven’t had any storm damage calls yet,” says Linda Hardeman of Fas-Break in Atlanta. “But so far this year we’re doing great. Business is good.”

“We haven’t seen anything big here. We’re in downtown Atlanta,” according to a customer service representative of Glass Plus Inc., who preferred not to give his name.

More than 1.5 inches of hail was reported in the Roswell, Ga., area, according to a local report.

“Residents in Alpharetta sought shelter as a blizzard of hail dropped on their homes and cars,” according to the report.

According to a second report, “Residents tell FOX 5 the hail covered their lawns, driveways and decks to the point where it appeared to look like snow.”
