The Boyd Group Inc., parent company to Gerber Collision & Glass, Glass America and more, has acquired a collision repair center in the Lake City, Fla. The center previously operated as Duval Automotive and is located on East Duval Street, a key thoroughfare in Lake City and close to the I-10 and I-75 interstate highways.
The location will switch to the Gerber Collision & Glass brand.
“This new location further builds on our large market presence in Florida and adds an important service capability in the northern part of the state,” said Tim O’Day, president and chief operating officer of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations. “This also demonstrates that we are on track to achieve our growth target of 6 to 10 percent through single-store additions.”
