Alan Resnick Opens New Hampshire AGRR Company

CarGlassofNewEnglandAlan Resnick, who spent more than 14 years with Glass America, has opened his own AGRR company in Hooksett, N.H., called Car Glass of New England.

“I wanted to do my own thing and opened my own shop,” he explains. “We have one location that serves Southern New Hampshire.”

The shop opened about six months ago and has three technicians. The company offers automotive glass repair and replacement services. Car Glass of New England has a physical location and also offers mobile services.

“I used to travel a lot and I like not traveling as much,” says Resnick. “It’s a quieter way of life. I’m extremely pleased with how we’re doing. The company is performing beyond my expectations.”

A local businessman serves as Resnick’s partner in the business. And Resnick’s wife also works at the company.

“I have no big plans looking head. I plan to run this shop and coast into retirement,” Resnick says. “I’ve had a great run over the years, but I can’t see myself working for a large company again.”

Resnick was with Glass America since 1999. He served as vice president of sales and operations when he left the company in January 2014.

In June 2013, Boyd Group Income Fund acquired a controlling interest in the Glass America. Boyd also owns Boyd Autobody and Glass, Gerber Collision and Glass and Gerber National Claim Services, among other brands.

After leaving Glass America, Resnick served as chief financial officer for Commercial Solutions. This company began as Glass America, starting out specializing in glass and door service, according to its website. It is a full service facility repair and maintenance company serving retailers, restaurants, banks and other businesses.
