The Boyd Group, parent company to Gerber Collision & Glass and Glass America, has acquired a multi-store operation in Indiana consisting of six collision repair centers located in the Indianapolis region. The centers previously operated as Collision Cure Body Werks, with the first location established in 2003 in Anderson, Ind. It will now operate under the Gerber name.
“Over the past few years we have added several locations in northwest Indiana, focusing on serving customers in the Chicago region,” says Tim O’Day, president and chief operating officer of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations. “With this acquisition we have established a footprint in the Indianapolis region, vibrant communities with a population of nearly two million.”
The new centers are located north of Indianapolis and include Anderson, Fishers, Kokomo, Marion, Muncie and Westfield, Ind. They are in close proximity to Gerber’s two locations in Lafayette, Ind., acquired in January.
