Pilkington to Increase ADAS Auto Glass Prices

In order to keep up with the rising costs of OE-quality products equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Pilkington NSG announced it was driven to increase the cost of all of its ADAS auto glass products by 5 percent, according to a recent release from the company.

William George, Pilkington’s director of business planning, North America, said in the statement that the company had already initiated cost-reducing measures; however, the outcome was not enough to offset the increasing costs associated with the ADAS products.

The increase took effect on August 14.

Below is the statement from the company:

“Dear Valued Wholesale, Truckload, and Factory Direct Customers:

The costs of providing OE-quality Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) products and services have increased steadily. We have implemented significant cost reduction measures, but these initiatives have not been enough to offset the escalating costs.

Driven by the need to recover a portion of the costs, Pilkington NSG must initiate a 5.0% price increase for all ADAS Auto Glass products, to be effective with orders received on or after August 14th , 2017. We will continue to look for other ways to reduce our costs while continuing to provide you with the best Automotive glass and accessory programs available in the market.

Pilkington NSG offers over 15,000 different Automotive glass and Accessory parts at over 100 service centers in North America to help support your daily needs. We strive to make this incredible service possible by combining proprietary calibrating products along with value adding promotions and just in time deliveries.

Thank you for your continued support of the Pilkington NSG as we remain committed to providing you with the best service and availability of product at competitive prices.

Best Regards,

William George
