The PipeKnife Company Purchases Product Rights

The PipeKnife Company of Golden, Colo., announced it purchased several window defrosting installation and repair product lines from Planned Products LLC. According to the PipeKnife Company, the sale became effective earlier this month.

Three items were purchased in this transaction, they included:

  • The frost fighter;
  • The clear view; and
  • The ThermaSync line of window defrosting installation and repair products.

“The addition of the frost fighter defroster repair product line is complementary to our auto glass replacement and installation tools,” said Dell Skluzak, the PipeKnife Company president and founder. “Many of our current auto glass repair distributors carry this product, but we are pleased this product is well established in the automotive parts repair distribution channel expanding our reach into that market segment.”

The clear view system has hundreds of unique sizes of defrosting systems that can be directly installed by the end user, according to the company. When used with the ThermaSync defroster control units, the clear view system can operate in 12- or 24-volt environments which can be directly installed onto glass.

“I’m really excited about the clear view line. It is the only system I’m aware of that can be directly applied to glass for vehicles that need additional defrosting coverage or for vehicles that do not have factory installed defrosting systems,” Skluzak said.

The ThermaSync product is a complete line of controls in 12- and 24-volt capacities that feature set point timing, power modulation and network capability. According to the company, it can be used for multiple applications that include:

  • Heated mirror controls;
  • Replacing failed auto defrosting systems; and being the
  • Cornerstone for the Clear View line.

Planned Products LLC released a statement that highlighted reasons why the company is looking forward to the PipeKnife Company expanding its market presence.

“The PipeKnife Company has an excellent reputation in the auto glass replacement distribution channel and with a larger product offering the frost fighter and clear view lines will see significant market increases,” said John Seaborn, Planned Products LLC president.
