Court Sets Mediation Date in Allstate vs. Auto Glass America Suit

The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida has set a date of March 20, 2020, for mediation in the ongoing Allstate vs. Auto Glass America Suit.

The suit, filed last December by Allstate, alleges that the company and its owner, Charles Isaly, filed “tried to pressure Allstate’s insureds into hiring them for windshield replacements, obtaining assignments of benefits (AOBs) from insureds, submitting invoices to Allstate for excessive and unreasonable amounts and fil[ing] over 1,400 lawsuits for recovery of excessive and unreasonable amounts,” by allegedly stating that Allstate shouldn’t be entitled to any financial relief.

The mediation will take place at Rumberger Kirk & Caldwell PA in Orlando, Fla. Kimberly Sands will preside over the meditation.

In November, both parties in the case filed a joint motion to continue trial proceedings and all remaining pretrial deadlines.
