AGSC Announces New Meeting Dates

The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) has rescheduled its meetings originally scheduled for September. The meetings have been moved to the week of January 11, 2021 in Orlando, Fla. All AGSC and NWRD meetings scheduled for September, including the AGRSS and ROLAGS2 standards committee meetings, are included in the move.

“When AGSC rescheduled its Los Angeles Meeting in March to Orlando in September, the COVID crisis was in its infancy. At the time the expectation was that it would be ‘over’ within 8-12 weeks. As we all know, that hasn’t been the case. As the safety of AGSC members is of top priority, the Board has made the decision to cancel the September dates for all meetings and move all [of] the meetings to the week of January 11 (Auto Glass Week) in Orlando,” said director of operations, Kathy Bimber.

“While we have a very high degree of confidence in the safety measures the Hyatt has put in place, we recognize that for most committee members attendance would require travel that many are uncomfortable making right now,” added Bimber.

Although the AGSC board of directors explored a variety of options, which included holding a virtual meeting, it felt moving the date and keeping a live meeting was the best option.

Members who currently have a reservation in the AGSC-NWRD room block at the Hyatt hotel do not need to cancel their reservation, as it will automatically be cancelled. However, for those that have a reservation at any other property, they will have to cancel that reservation themselves.
