  1. I think it’s great that you feature glass shops opening. I’ve have been in the industry my entire life. My mother owned her own glass shop in Bakersfield, Ca many many years ago before Safelite and Allstar came into town. She sold her shop back in 1989 to Windshields America then Vistar who eventually sold to what is now Safelite. My mother stayed employed as their district manager for the CA west coast until she passed in 2001. She hired my now husband and trained him in the industry and in 2001 we decided to open our own glass shop. We only have 1 location here in Bakersfield CA but we have been in business now for 20 years. And would like to know how a mom and pop shop can be featured.
