PGW Auto Glass Acquires Georgia’s Auto Glass Direct

PGW Auto Glass LLC ended 2022 with the addition of not one, but two companies. Following the acquisition of American Glass Distributors on December 23, 2022, the company next acquired Auto Glass Direct (AGD) on December 30, 2022. AGD tells glassBYTEs that the timing is right to “combine forces as one team.”

Following a brief transition period, Auto Glass Direct will integrate into PGW’s auto glass operations and brand. AGD is “very excited” about the new team and family at PGW, and looks forward to an “awesome 2023.”

Founded by Jay Parks in 2000 with just $6,000 and two employees, Auto Glass Direct operates one distribution facility that services the Georgia market. Auto Glass Direct is an independent wholesale distributor of automotive aftermarket glass and supplies in Norcross, Ga.

“After 20-plus years of hard work and 20 incredible employees who have made AGD what it is today, Jay felt like he had taken it as far as he could,” an AGD representative told glassBYTEs. “AGD has always had a great working relationship with PGW over all 20-plus years in the business. The timing is right for us to combine forces as one team.”

AGD says PGW brings better computer systems, better 401k plans, health insurance and more.

“Auto Glass Direct has demonstrated great success in serving small and mid-size customers in Georgia, and we are excited to bring them onto the PGW Auto Glass platform. As we execute our organic and inorganic growth initiatives, Auto Glass Direct will become part of our best-in-class footprint, and their team will join us on our mission to be North America’s number one auto glass supplier and employer of choice,” says Todd Fencak, CEO of PGW Auto Glass. “It is with great pleasure that I welcome the Auto Glass Direct employees into the PGW Auto Glass family!”
