RV Supplier Returns

After an approximate two-year hiatus, Import Glass Corporation (IGC) is once again offering auto glass for recreational vehicles (RVs) and buses. Company vice president Ramon Gonzalez, Jr., says customer input brought about the company’s return to the market and the emergence of the IGC RV/Bus Division.

IGC has 19 facilities throughout the United States and intends to offer its RV/Bus Division at four or five of those locations. “Your RV supplier, not your competitor,” is the division’s slogan.

“A year or two went by and we had a lot of customers request for us to carry this type of product again,” Gonzalez says. “It’s convenient to have it here and there’s no one else in Southern California selling the product. So, we decided to get back into it.”

With that level of demand expressed directly from customers, Gonzalez says the smart business decision was to re-enter the market. The new division boasts an “extensive inventory” of OEM-equivalent products with shipping nationwide.

“It was just that the demand for the product was there and our customers really enjoy working with us,” he adds. “Even if we were to ship into Northern California or Nevada, we would still be able to get it out the door quicker than some of our competitors. The customers are the ones who helped us make the decision. When there’s that type of demand, we fill it.”

IGC has 19 facilities throughout the United States and intends to offer its RV/Bus Division at four or five of those locations. Currently, the division has a presence in San Bernardino, Calif., and Phoenix.

“But we will soon have product in the Midwest and we’re also considering Florida just to get better coverage,” Gonzalez says.

Gonzalez says IGC is happy to once again provide the offering for customers, who have been “very happy with the products.”

“We’ve installed many of these parts already and have had no issues,” Gonzalez says.
