Safelite Acquires Ideal Auto Glass

Safelite Group, owner of Safelite AutoGlass, has acquired Ideal Auto Glass, a Florida-based company with two locations in the greater Orlando area. The deal closed on Friday, July 14.

Ideal Auto Glass services multiple areas across Florida but only has two physical locations in Odessa and Sanford. “Safelite will continue to operate out of the Odessa location and will use Safelite’s legacy location in Sanford,” a Safelite spokesperson says.

“We continue to grow with a focus on providing the quality glass services that our customers expect from us,” says Renee Cacchillo, Safelite Group president and CEO. “And we’re excited to welcome our new team members to our business.”

“Continuing to be the leader in our industry is something we take pride in,” she adds. “And the best way to lay the foundation for future success is through the talents and contributions of our people.”

The purchase of Ideal Auto Glass is the fourth acquisition that Columbus, Ohio-based Safelite has announced this year.

In June, Safelite acquired Advanced Auto Glass of Weatherford, Texas. Prior to that, the company purchased New Angle Glass of Massachusetts and Mark’s Mobile Glass of Missouri.
