Auto Windscreens is working to makes sure all its appropriate colleagues have undertaken Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) training for the use of polyurethane.

REACH training is required under EU regulations to ensure the urethane, which contains diisocyanates, is handled safely, to improve protection of employees and the environment.
Auto Windscreens has been working alongside its urethane provider, Dupont, to undertake the training with ISOPA, the European trade association for producers of diisocyanates and polyols, the main building blocks of polyurethanes.
“We take the health and safety of our team extremely seriously. We’re delighted that all colleagues who use urethane or its packaging in our business, including technicians, apprentices, area managers, supervisors, trainers and the stock team have completed this training. As well as the correct use of chemicals, it also covers disposal of chemicals and PPE usage,” said Sean Draycott, Auto Windscreens’ operations director.
