Safelite® Group, owner of Safelite AutoGlass®, has purchased the assets of Idaho-based Intermountain Auto Glass. The transaction closed on Friday, October 6.
“On behalf of our associates across the country, we welcome new team members with enthusiasm as they join us in providing the quality service our customers have come to expect,” said Safelite’s president and CEO Renee Cacchillo.
Intermountain Auto Glass has headquarters in Garden City, Idaho, just outside Boise, and offers windshield replacement, calibration, and chip repair services to an area that encompasses the Idaho mountains and eastern Oregon, as well as parts of Wyoming and Arizona. The company has been in operation since 1996 and offers mobile services for all of its jobs, including RV glass repair. It was independently owned by Rick and Becky Valentine.
A Safelite press release says that the combined businesses expand its reach, allowing them to offer vehicle glass repair, replacement and recalibration services to even more customers. In turn, Intermountain Auto Glass will leverage Safelite’s operational systems, advanced safety system recalibration expertise, distribution network, global purchasing power and substantial insurance and commercial relationships.
“Our new team members will contribute to our future success, and we’re glad they are joining us,” Cacchillo said.
