Safelite Group Acquires Multi-Location Firm

Safelite Group has acquired the assets of Colorado-based Sun Auto Glass. The transaction was completed on Friday, September 29. This is Safelite’s fifth acquisition in 2023.

“It’s an exciting time in our business as we continue to expand our reach and provide the quality service our customers expect,” says Safelite’s president and CEO, Renee Cacchillo. “We look forward to leveraging the skills our new team members bring and making them feel right at home.”

Sun Auto Glass is more than 70 years old and offers replacement, repair, calibration as well as door and back glass, according to its website.

According to the announcement, with locations in Cortez, Pagosa Springs and Durango, Colo., the combined businesses broaden Safelite’s footprint, allowing them to offer vehicle glass repair, replacement and recalibration services to even more customers.

Sun Auto Glass will leverage Safelite’s operational systems, advanced safety system recalibration expertise, world-class distribution network, global purchasing power and substantial insurance and commercial relationships, according to the announcement.
