A report by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) says that while 44% of U.K. cars will have Level 2 autonomy by 2030, the vehicle repair industry needs more than 51,000 qualified technicians to meet the demand. The industry will need 106,000 technicians qualified to work with ADAS-equipped cars by the decade’s end.
