Automaker Demonstrates ‘Tesla Armor Glass’

At the November 30 unveiling of its Cybertruck prototype, Tesla attempted to show the strength of its “Tesla Armor Glass,” which the automaker claims can resist an impact from a steel ball.

Designer Franz von Holzhausenz hurled a steel ball into the driver sidelite of the prototype vehicle, which shattered. He tried the stunt again with the rear sidelite with the same result.

The next day, the designer repeated the demonstration using a baseball rather than a steel ball. After a not-too-hard throw, the baseball bounced around the stage, leaving the glass intact.
