AGSC, NWRD Committees Gather for Winter Meetings

The Education Committee of the Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) met Tuesday morning, January 23, as part of a series of Winter Meetings dedicated to auto glass safety.

Updates to the AGSC training program certification were discussed and the group began work on a customer service (CSR) certification program.

Committee members passed a resolution allowing companies to submit their training programs for certification anonymously. The committee is working on a program to evaluate for certification the skills of those working in CSR, according to chairperson Bob Beranek.

A new customer-oriented animated video explaining the importance of windshield calibration was introduced. It sparked a discussion on defining a “controlled environment” for calibration.

AGSC meetings continue throughout January 23 and 24 with the AGSC Public Affairs Committee and the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass 2(ROLAGS2) meeting Tuesday afternoon.
