Auggie Calibration Tool Earns European Stamp of Approval

AirPro Diagnostics’ Auggie has met the EURO New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) safety standard. EURO NCAP tests showed the company’s mobile static Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration tool meets the organization’s standard for performing a complete and safe forward-facing camera ADAS calibration.

The independent vehicle evaluation company FT Techno of America (FTTA) ran EURO NCAP’s tests on Auggie at Fowlerville Proving Grounds. It tested the performance of a vehicle calibrated using Auggie in Auto Emergency Braking car-to-car and car-to-pedestrian scenarios. It also tested the performance of the Lane Departure Warning feature on the vehicle. FTTA tested the vehicle in 60 different scenarios. According to a statement by AirPro Diagnostics, the ADAS features on the test vehicle performed as designed in all scenarios.

Auggie met the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) standard and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) standard in 2023. The product met the “superior” safety rating for IIHS, which is the highest rating possible.

“With the proven success of Auggie in North America with both IIHS and NHTSA standards having already been met, we wanted to satisfy our European customers and ensure the EURO NCAP standards were followed as well,” said Maria Charlton, managing director of AirPro Diagnostics Limited, UK.
