Belron Achieves Mixed Sales Success in First Quarter

Belgium-based D’Ieteren Group, which operates Safelite’s parent company, Belron, reported first-quarter 2024 sales of around $3.3 billion, an increase of 5.4% year over year.

UK-based Belron’s total sales increased by 5.8% to about $1.6 billion. According to D’Ieteren’s report, “favorable price” and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) calibrations majorly contributed to Belron’s sales growth.

Belron’s North American sector, which includes Safelite, saw less organic growth at 0.3%. The report cites lower customer demand and mild weather for the slight growth in that region.

According to the report, the mild weather in the U.S. also reduced the number of auto glass jobs across Belron’s regions by 0.4% year over year.
