Balkan Glass Franchisee Welcomes AI

One of Belron’s European franchises is working with a deep tech company to introduce artificial-intelligence-based windshield inspections.

Estonia-based DriveX creates AI-driven vehicle inspection software. UAB Euroglass, a regional Carglass franchisee in Lithuania and Latvia, will offer this software to insurers to make online windshield damage assessments more accurate and improve customer experience. According to officials, the software also enables self-service inspections via smartphones, meaning insurers can get standardized results quickly for faster and more reliable claims decisions.

Drivers can perform inspections using their smartphones with DriveX’s technology.

“We’re excited to be bringing more digital solutions to the auto glass world,” says Edvinas Basakirskas, CEO of Carglass Latvia and Lithuania. “By offering DriveX’s AI inspection to our insurance partners, we’re not just improving windshield assessments, but we’re setting a new standard for innovation, efficiency and sustainability in claims processing across the Baltics.”

United Kingdom-based Belron operates several automotive glass brands, including Carglass in Europe and Safelite in the United States.
