Electronic vehicle (EV) manufacturer Rivian has approved an Autel Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) recalibration tool for use on its vehicles.
In February, Rivian sanctioned the Autel IA900 ADAS Calibration System for “ADAS Camera/Sensor Calibration and Aiming” on its vehicles. This means Rivian’s global Certified Collision Centers and Certified Calibration Centers can use the Autel IA900 to recalibrate ADAS functions, including windshield-mounted cameras.

The IA900 was designed to enable technicians to calibrate these vehicles’ sophisticated systems with the same ease and repeatable precision as it calibrates simpler systems.”
Rivian is known for its rigorous repair, replacement and recalibration standards. Its position statement says only Rivian-certified technicians should perform windshield replacements on its vehicles. Rivian is similarly selective about approving ADAS recalibration systems.
