Industry Feels Effects of TPA Transition

State Farm officially transitioned from LYNX Services to Safelite Solutions as its third-party administrator (TPA) for auto glass claims on Tuesday, July 1. Reports of alleged steering are already circling the auto glass community.

Several people took to popular auto glass Facebook groups, such as Auto Glass Tech Group, to share their frustrations. After helping customers file claims with State Farm, shop owners and managers report that even though customers receive an email acknowledging the claim, the owners/managers don’t receive any communication assigning the job to them. Some say they’ve heard the lack of communication is a technical issue that State Farm and Safelite Solutions are working to solve, but many owners/managers remain skeptical. Some others have reported an uptick in work since the switch.

So sad………….. State Farm was my main referral that was honest and fair. It is bad enough of the economy and struggles for small business to stay alive, now this……………. HEARTBREAKING

  5. John Kelley says:

safelite solutions have already “pre determined” how much they will pay. Not taking any considerations for any necessary moldings or clips that the job requires. I’m certain they will short pay at the very least on a job we just performed. No surprise here, been down this road before
