United Kingdom-based Auto Windscreens came to the rescue of a medical supplies transportation service recently after its lead events vehicle suffered a cracked windscreen.
Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes Service (LEBBS) was established in 2012 and is a registered, volunteer-run charity providing transportation of blood, breast milk for newborn babies, medical samples, and equipment to NHS hospitals across Lincolnshire, UK. It also supports the NHS Blood and Transplant Regional Center in Barnsley and hospitals in Hull.
Auto Windscreens helped a UK-based blood transportation service get one of its vehicles back on the road.
LEBBS’ vehicle is part of a fleet of 18 motorcycles and cars, and the work was undertaken by Tony Green, head of technical and training at Auto Windscreens. Green also volunteers his spare time making deliveries for the charity on one of the LEBBS motorbikes.
“We are eternally grateful to our member Tony Green and Auto Windscreens for supplying and fitting a new windscreen to our Skoda Octavia,” says. Neville Wright, chairperson of LEBBS. “This operational and events vehicle is vital to us continuing our emergency courier work for NHS in Lincolnshire and beyond … On behalf of the committee and our 140 volunteers, I’d like to thank the company for its help in keeping our volunteers on the move.”
