Glass.com Partners with European AI Company

Glass.com Inc. has announced a new partnership with DriveX Technologies, a European-based artificial intelligence (AI) and image-recognition technology company specializing in auto glass damage assessment.

Glass.com officials say the collaboration is designed to help empower United States auto glass companies to save time, reduce costs and increase operational accuracy.

“DriveX’s proven AI-driven platform is already changing the glass replacement process across the globe,” says Daniel Snow, vice president of Glass.com. “This partnership aligns perfectly with Glass.com’s mission to connect customers, shops and technology in ways that make the industry faster, more efficient and more transparent.”

DriveX’s mobile web-app inspection tool analyzes photographs of glass damage. It’s designed to determine whether glass damage qualifies for repair or replacement in accordance with the Repair of Laminated Automotive Glass Standard (ROLAGS) and provide documentation for insurance. It also guides drivers to take photos of their VIN numbers for part identification.

“We’re excited to scale in the U.S. market with a partner who understands the glass industry inside and out,” says DriveX CEO Rauno Sigur. “With more ADAS-equipped windshields on the road, rising job volume and ongoing technician shortages, now is the right time for AI damage detection. We’re excited to help U.S. shops deliver quicker service, lower costs and a smoother customer experience.”

DriveX is currently offering web demos for interested auto glass companies.
