Ford has issued a voluntary recall due to potentially faulty moonroof parts on some of its trucks.
The recall affects about 174,853 vehicles, including 2021-2022 Lincoln Navigators, 2022 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450s, 2021-2022 Ford Expeditions and 2021-2023 Ford F-150s. According to Ford’s recall report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the moonroof wind deflectors on these trucks could detach while on the road.
“The clips on the wind deflector’s fabric lower attachment strip may not have been properly attached to retention tabs,” the report says.
Ford is notifying dealers of the recall today, Oct. 30, and plans to notify owners and provide a solution between Nov. 3 and 7.
