The Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) has several upcoming opportunities for those in the auto glass repair, replacement and recalibration industry to better their businesses and prepare for the future.
Member Education
AGSC is holding a new member webinar on Dec. 9, 2-2:35 p.m. EST. It is open to all registered members, with a special emphasis on those who have been members for less than three years. Registration closes Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.
The speakers will explore the benefits that AGSC offers its members and explain how to maximize their use. The webinar will cover topics such as how to incorporate AGSC membership in marketing, certification training and testing, networking opportunities, Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard™ compliance and Auto Glass Week™ opportunities.
“I’m looking forward to helping AGSC members make the most of their membership,” says AGSC president Jacques Navant. “This webinar is an excellent way to help companies future-proof their businesses.”
New member webinars are held three times a year.
Education in the New Year
AGSC will also offer live training and education early in 2026.
These certification training and testing and educational sessions will be available on Feb. 5, 2026, at the Alohilani Resort in Honolulu, Hawaii, in conjunction with Glass Expo Hawaii:
- 7-8 a.m. For Owners and Managers: How to Prepare Your Business for the Future
- 8-10:30 a.m. AGSC Certified Auto Glass Technician Class and Testing
- 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. AGSC Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Glass Calibration Training & Testing
- 3-5 p.m. AGSC/NWRD Certified Windshield Repair Training and Testing
AGSC’s committees, including the AGRSS Standards committee and the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard committee, will meet in person in Honolulu Feb. 3-4.
Networking Groups
The Council also recently debuted its AGSC Circles, which met virtually for the first time on Nov. 13. The program facilitates information exchange among AGSC members, according to Member Benefits Committee Chair Aric Haarala.
Haarala and his committee spent months developing this opportunity for AGSC-registered member companies. Haarala also leads one of the AGSC Circles.
“They went really well, I was very pleased,” he says. “The participants all seemed to find a lot of value in talking to each other, and they all had great things to contribute. The topic was hiring and retention and all my group members left prepared to use some of the strategies we discussed.”
Five groups met. Participants attended remotely from 12 states. At least one participant also joined from Canada.
“The AGSC Circles will offer immeasurable benefits to shops,” Haarala says. “They will enable company leaders to build on valuable industry relationships like the ones they start at Auto Glass Week™. They will be able to learn from the insights of other talented leaders.”
The Circles will gather virtually multiple times a year. Each meeting will cover a different timely topic that participants can apply to their business practices.
