Auto Glass Company Hits the Fast Lane

Anyone in the industry who tunes in to the Coca-Cola 600 race on Sunday may see a familiar logo on the back of the 66 car.

Greensboro, North Carolina-based Impex Auto Glass is an associate sponsor for driver Timmy Hill during the May 24 NASCAR Cup Series race in Charlotte.

The Impex Auto Glass logo will appear on Timmy Hill’s rear bumper on May 24, as shown in the middle image. Photo provided by Garage 66.

“Timmy’s a local guy, and this is the Cup Series race closest to us, so we decided it would be a good thing to try,” says operations manager Larry Diesbach.

Impex has sponsored an ARCA Series driver before, he says, but this is the company’s first Cup Series sponsorship.

“We get most of our jobs organically, so we don’t usually spend much on marketing,” Diesbach says. “This sounded like a cool thing to try. Hopefully, it will drive some business our way, but if not, at least we tried.”
