Auto Glass Week™ (AGW) 2026 has concluded in San Antonio. The show ran from Aug. 27-29 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and provided a packed schedule of education, certification and competition.
The show unofficially opened with special pre-show educational sessions and events on Aug. 26, including a dinner honoring all past Auto Glass Technician Competition champions, sponsored by Auto Glass Now.
Aug. 27 opened with multiple educational opportunities, including a packed session where Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) president Jacques Navant delivered his “State of the Industry” address.
Delta Kits sales manager Korey Gobin received AGSC’s highest honor, the Carl F. Tompkins Award. A visibly shocked Gobin thanked everyone in the industry for their support. A video of Korey’s accomplishments was shown.
The futurist Jonathan Brill delivered the Keynote Address on Aug. 27. He spoke about how artificial intelligence will impact the future of the auto glass industry.
The first day of AGW concluded with a premiere of the documentary “Anatomy of a Disruptor: The Auto Glass Safety Council at 25,” held at the AMC Rivercenter 11 movie theater. Many theatergoers were blown away by the history of the organization.
The educational sessions on Aug. 28 included a panel discussion addressing the future of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology and answering questions about recalibration. Panelists Stew Peregrine of Autel, Michael Preisendorf of CarCal Mobile Experts, Maria Charlton of Automotive Glazing Academy, Thomas Knapp of Bosch and Josh McFarlin of AirPro participated.
Friday night concluded with a “Mystery Dinner,” where attendees were placed in groups of their peers and assigned a restaurant.
Children got to learn about auto glass installation, repair and safety during Family Day on Aug. 29. The special event included several interactive stations, and childred received a special sticker in their "certification" booklets after completing each one.
After three days of grueling competition, Tucker Martin of Wisefly Auto Glass earned the title “World’s Best” in the Auto Glass Technician Competition.
Martin received the news and his trophy alongside the other winners at an awards banquet held at the Buckhorn Saloon & Museum in San Antonio. Shown in order on the following slides: Esteban Soto of Auto Glass Tec won the Windshield Repair Competition, Sarena Rose of Caliber Auto Glass won the CSR competition and Sean Fagan of Appalachian Auto Glass won the Calibration Competition.
Several industry members were also inducted into the Auto Glass Hall of Fame during AGW. Shown on this and the following slides are: Kyle Kyger accepting award on behalf of his late father, Bill Kryger of Kryger Glass, Steve Mort of Don’s Mobile Glass, Paul Heinaur of Glasspro and the Mygrant family.
There were also plenty of tool demonstrations and networking opportunities at each of the sponsor booths.
