Ready for a close-up? In just a few short weeks, the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) documentary will premiere at Auto Glass Week™ in San Antonio, Texas. “Anatomy of a Disruptor: The Auto Glass Safety Council at 25” will cover the Council’s entire history, from the founding of the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard™ (AGRSS) through today.
The 45-minute film delves into the key points of AGSC’s development and purpose, with insights from more than a dozen men and women who have been instrumental in its development and continuation. AGSC members who attended the February committee meetings in Hawaii got an exclusive sneak peek at the documentary’s draft.
“I can’t wait for all of our members to see it,” says AGSC president Jacques Navant. “It puts into perspective all the good the Council has done for the industry over the years and how much it has grown.”
The film will debut with a special screening at the AMC Rivercenter 11 on the evening of Aug. 27. The premiere will be a red-carpet event. There is no charge to attend, just wear your Auto Glass Week™ 2026 badge.
The event will open at 7:30 p.m. and will offer traditional movie-theater snacks, as well as other tasty treats and drinks. The premiere will begin at 8 p.m. Stay tuned for more information about the theater soon.
