Ford has voluntarily recalled certain Mustang vehicles for detaching quarter glass.
The car manufacturer reported the recall to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on July 28. According to the report, Ford has recalled approximately 86,543 2023-2025 Mustang Mach-E vehicles.
Ford tells the NHTSA that the trim on the rear quarter windows may not be properly secured, which could cause the glass to detach. Ford says its dealers will inspect and replace the glass assemblies as needed, free of charge. The company plans to notify owners of the risk on Sept. 10.
