Farmers Insurance has released a guide that educates consumers on how Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and calibration can affect repair costs and insurance coverage.
The guide explains what ADAS systems are, how they work and common terms that policyholders should know. It also lists common sensor locations, including those mounted on the windshield.
The guide also suggests that consumers should save “estimates, invoices and repair records, including any notes about diagnostics, calibration or safety system testing” to help with the claims process.
