D’Ieteren Group announced a buy-back of 13,868 of its own shares for approximately $2.6 million between Sept. 23 and 29, according to a recent regulatory filing. D’Ieteren purchased the shares at an average price of (approximately) $183.96 each through its share buyback program.
As of Sept. 29, D’Ieteren held 1,411,279 of its own shares, representing 2.6% of its 53,690,082 ordinary shares, according to the announcement.
The announcement follows last week’s news that Belron shareholders were evaluating strategic options regarding the minority shareholders’ stakes in the company.
In a statement, D’Ieteren Group reaffirmed its long-term commitment to Belron and its continued support for Belron’s management team as it pursues its profitable growth trajectory. Earlier in the year, D’Ieteren Group reported it was exploring future possibilities for its majority stake in Belron, including a potential initial public offering.
