AGRSS™ Takes Center Stage at Glass Expo '06

Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard (AGRSS) Council chair Cindy Ketcherside provided an update about the AGRSS Council, Standard and its registration program during the Americas Glass Association Glass Expo '06 today.

"Consumers think of glass like they think of oranges," said Ketcherside. "It's a commodity-all are about the same and consumers think their job is just to find the cheapest one," she said. "In the auto glass industry, which has little or no barrier to entry, this makes it a real challenge for us." Ketcherside explained how the AGRSS registration program helps shops and companies distinguish themselves as keeping safety a priority.

Glass Expo '06 includes a number of auto glass seminars and a two day trade show. The event runs through Saturday afternoon at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.
