Contestant Registration Steady for Auto Glass Technician Olympics With a little more than two weeks left before contestant registration ends, the Auto Glass Technician Olympics is already on track to bring in more competitors than last year. Competitors are signing up daily to put their skills to the test against the rest of the auto glass industry, in the second annual Auto Glass Technician Olympics, co-sponsored by the Independent Glass Association (IGA) and AGRR magazine. "We are pleased with the steady flow of contestants we've received. Forecasts for planning were based on the positive response and remarks from those who participated last year," said Holly Biller, event manager. "I know with the diverse group we have joining us in Las Vegas it will be a high-spirited competition as well as effective educational event for everyone involved." "We are extremely excited about the competition," said AGRR/glassbytes.com publisher and event sponsor Deb Levy. "In addition to finding the best technicians in the world, the Olympics also provides an opportunity for techs to learn from the judges and from each other. The interaction among competitors is a great learning experience for everyone." The Auto Glass Technician Olympics will be held November 1-3 in conjunction with the Auto Glass Expo @ NACE show at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
