One Month Left to Register for AGTO

The deadline to register for the Fourth Annual Auto Glass Technician Competition (AGTO) is just one month away from today—the deadline is September 8, 2008.

The AGTO will be held November 6-7 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas as part of Auto Glass Week in Las Vegas. It will be held in conjunction with the Auto Glass Expo @ NACE, the Fourth Annual Auto Glass Safety Conference, the Independent Glass Association's Fall Marketing Conference and the National Windshield Repair Association's Annual Conference.

Those who are eligible to compete must be currently employed as a technician in a bona fide operating auto glass company, must have at least one year experience as a technician in the auto glass industry, and must follow the AGRSS Standard 002-2002.

In addition to entry in the competition, competitors receive networking opportunities with fellow technicians and manufacturers, admission to the cocktail party after the AGTO is complete on Friday, November 7, and admission to the NACE trade show.

The first-place winner's company will receive extensive media coverage and press releases sent on behalf of the champion's company; use of the AGTO winner logo on stationery, business cards and advertising for one year; use of the 2008 AGTO logo for a limited time, and a congratulations ad and coverage in AGRR magazine.

The first-place winner will receive $10,000, a gold medal and trophy. Second-place will receive $1,000 and a silver metal, and third place will receive $500 and a bronze metal.
