ASA
Announces Dates, Location and Theme for CARS 2004
The Bedford, Texas-based Automotive Service Association has announced
that The 2004 Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) will be
held November 4-6 at the Flamingo Las Vegas. CARS 2004, sponsored by the
Automotive Service Association's Mechanical Division, is an official event
of Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW), held annually in Las Vegas.
This year marks a change of venue for the event. The Flamingo Las Vegas
was chosen as the new site for CARS because it is conveniently located
to the Las Vegas Convention Center, the home of the Automotive Aftermarket
Products Expo (AAPEX). The overall goal of the venue change is to bring
attendees closer to other industry events taking place in Las Vegas.
The theme of this year's show is "Feel the Power." In keeping
with this theme, CARS 2004 will offer cutting-edge technical training
and management courses approved by the Automotive Management Institute
(AMI). The event will also provide ample networking opportunities, including
the third annual Service Professionals Industry Reception, co-sponsored
by ASA and the International Automotive Technicians' Network (iATN); and
an exhibitor showcase featuring the latest in automotive products and
services. In addition, automobile manufacturers will be on-hand to present
new product technology seminars during the show.
"Events taking place in Las Vegas during AAIW are invaluable to automotive
professionals. But CARS is the only event taking place during Industry
Week that focuses specifically on providing for the needs of owners, managers
and employees of automotive repair businesses," said Bill Haas, ASA's
vice president, service repair markets. "The technical and management
courses and demonstrations offered during CARS is unparalleled during
Industry Week."
Additional information about CARS 2004, including schedules and online
registration, will be available on the official CARS Web site, www.CARSonline.org,
as it becomes available. Watch for further details about ASA's special
evening function at the Flamingo Las Vegas, Friday, Nov. 5, dedicated
to honoring ASA members from both divisions.
