AEGIS Signs on as Ruby Sponsor for AGTO

AEGIS Tools International Inc. has become a Ruby sponsor for the Third Annual Auto Glass Technician Olympics (AGTO). This year's AGTO will be held in Las Vegas November 2-3, 2007, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The event is co-sponsored by the Independent Glass Association and AGRR magazine.

"We were a sponsor last year, and we decided to up our level of sponsorship," says Robert Birkhauser, president of AEGIS. "The people attending are our customers, and I think we have a great forum to champion the best and the brightest of our industry."

He added that AEGIS' commitment to safety is another aspect of the event that encouraged the company to sign on as a sponsor.

"I'm very personally committed to the AGRSS standard and this is a great forum to demonstrate proper installation practices," Birkhauser says.

The first-place winner in the AGTO will receive $5,000, a gold medal and trophy as well as bragging rights as the "World's Best Auto Glass Technician." Second place will receive $1,000 as well as a silver medal and third will receive $500 and a bronze medal.
