Star Glass Wins 2007 AutocheX Premier Achiever Award for Excellence
in Customer Service and Satisfaction
San Diego-based All Star Glass was recognized as a 2007 AutocheX
Premier Achiever for outstanding customer satisfaction at the sixth
annual AutocheX Premier Achiever Award ceremony and reception on
November 1, 2007, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The event was held in conjunction with the International Autobody
Congress and Exposition (NACE).
AutocheX says the Premier Achiever Award recognizes auto repair
facilities that consistently demonstrate their commitment to customer
service as reflected by their exceptionally high customer satisfaction
index (CSI) scores. Based on the hundreds of thousands of customer
satisfaction surveys AutocheX performed throughout 2007, All Star
Glass is one of only 382 facilities in North America to be named
an AutocheX Premier Achiever.
Bob Scharaga, president of All Star Glass, tells glassBYTEs.com™/AGRR
magazine that while he was pleased with the award, his happiness
was a bit bittersweet, as his father, Sam, with whom he co-founded
the business, recently passed away at the age of 81.
"A couple of weeks before he died I was able to inform him we were
going to get the award," Scharaga says.
Scharaga says his family's commitment to the business-his sister,
Jan, also works at All Star-is what really helps it maintain such
high customer satisfaction levels.
"One of the key factors is that we work-we're here most of the
time," he says. "We kind of consider ourselves the Nordstrom of
the glass industry. Whatever the customer wants we try to fulfill
their needs-no ifs, ands or buts. Our philosophy has always been
to take care of the customer, whatever you have to do."
