Attempts
to Stop Suicide Bomber Foiled by Bullet-Resistant Windshield, AP
Reports
Iraqi security forces trying to stop a suicide bomber near Mosul,
Iraq, recently met with an unexpected problem. The vehicle driven
by the attacker was equipped with a bullet-resistant windshield,
so the officers' shots were unable to penetrate the glass and stop
the bomber, according to reports from the Associated Press (AP).
According to reports from the AP, at least 13 Iraqi soldiers were
killed and 42 people wounded, as the attacker drove the armed vehicle
toward an Iraqi military-base's headquarters, in the city, which
is about 25 miles west of Baghdad.
