Would Bullet-Resistant Glass Have Protected Bhutto?

Following the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, one of many questions asked was how the shots that killed her Thursday afternoon following an election rally could have penetrated her SUV and its bullet-resistant glass. However, one report notes that it was customary for the Pakistani politician to rise through the sunroof and wave as exiting a crowd and that it was at that moment that the shots were fired.

A later report today from the Pakistan Interior Ministry says Bhutto "died from a fractured skill caused by hitting her head on part of her car's sunroof."
