But Can It Withstand a Rampaging Boyfriend?

A man in Stafford, Va., was arrested last week after punching out the windshield and front sidelite of his girlfriend's car-with his fists-while she was inside.

According to the Fredericksburg Freelance Star, Rodney Eugene Smithers has been charged with three counts of abduction, child endangerment, domestic assault and battery and assault and property destruction for an incident on the evening of Monday, May 15, when he allegedly followed his girlfriend's car and forced it off the road, jumped on the hood of her car and broke the windshield and front driver's sidelite with his fist.

The occupants of the car, which included the girlfriend's 3-year-old daughter and teenage sister, were reportedly hit with glass but otherwise unhurt.
