Bureau
of Labor Offers Auto Glass Wage and Employment Statistics
The Bureau of Labor reports that nationally the mean annual wage
for automotive glass replacement and repair technicians is $32,050,
with a mean hourly wage of $15.41.
The agency reports that New Hampshire has the highest concentration
of automotive glass replacement and repair technicians, and that
Vermont's automotive glass repair and replacement technicians were
the highest-paid.
Bay City, Mich., is ranked as the metropolitan area with the highest
concentration of automotive glass replacement and repair technicians,
while the San Francisco area has the highest paid technicians.
The survey numbers were compiled in May 2006.
