can start applying for the 2005 Cindy Rowe Auto Glass Young Entrepreneur
of the Year Awards program. Entrants are eligible to win as much as
$2,750. The Cindy Rowe Auto Glass Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards have
recognized young people who have established and run their own companies.
Launched in 1999, the program has awarded over $40,000 to teens that
have run a variety of businesses, from lawn care services to disk jockeying
to magic. This year's winner, Mechanicsburg High School graduate Lauren
Waltz, founded Lauren Waltz Music Studio, which provided private violin
lessons and performances for special events. "We established the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards to help
motivate young people to follow their dreams and succeed," Rowe
said. "The teenaged entrepreneurs of today are the successful businesspeople
and employers of tomorrow. Our goal is to encourage this wonderful initiative,
hard work, and success." Applications can be downloaded or submitted through the company website,
