The Cindy Rowe Auto Glass Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards have recognized young people who have established and run their own companies. Launched in 1999, the program has awarded over $40,000 to teens that have run a variety of businesses, from lawn care services to disk jockeying to magic. This year's winner, Mechanicsburg High School graduate Lauren Waltz, founded Lauren Waltz Music Studio, which provided private violin lessons and performances for special events.

"We established the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards to help motivate young people to follow their dreams and succeed," Rowe said. "The teenaged entrepreneurs of today are the successful businesspeople and employers of tomorrow. Our goal is to encourage this wonderful initiative, hard work, and success."

Applications can be downloaded or submitted through the company website, www.cindyroweaward.com. The deadline to apply for next year's Cindy Rowe Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award is March 31, 2005.
