Connecticut issued a multiple contractor award for $500,000 for windshield and glass replacement for passenger cars and trucks the middle of last month to Safelite Auto Glass, Triumph Auto Glass, and Payless Auto Glass.

The award is effective from the date of issue, April 18 to May 31, 2008. Each of the three winning contractors has a different pricing schedule, but all offer substantial discounts off NAGS, and do not follow NAGS recommendations concerning labor and kit pricing.

The contract is for replacement only (stressing that technicians doing the work under the contract have to be licensed in accordance with Connecticut regulations) with no mention made of repair.
