Ebeid Donates $150,000 to Detroit Documentary

Russ Ebeid, president of Auburn Hills, Mich.-based Guardian Industries Corp., has donated $150,000 to a television special called "Our Arab-American Story," according to a report from Crane's Detroit Business. The special will air on Detroit's WXYZ on Saturday, December 15, at 7 p.m.

"I thought, well, this is a way of honoring my parents and memorializing the attributes they gave my brother and me," Ebeid told the paper. Ebeid is a Lebanese-American.

The special, directed by Keith Famie, is one in a series of documentaries about metro Detroit's ethnic communities, the report says.
