Herrera Promoted; New General Manager At Nags

The sale of Mitchell International to a new a private equity firm (full story here) wasn't the only change made at National Auto Glass Specifications Inc. (NAGS) in the past few weeks.

Jason Bertellotti, a four-and-one-half year veteran of Mitchell has been named the new general manager of the Specialty Business Unit at Mitchell that includes NAGS. He succeeds Jesse Herrera who has been promoted to senior vice president of product management and marketing at the company. Bertellotti will report to Herrera. The rest of the NAGS team, including Bud Oliver and James Patterson, will remain in place.

Bertellotti, 34, began his career at Mitchell working with Autochex and has managed a number of insurance-focused workflow tools for the company. He began the transition into his new position approximately one month ago. "I'm looking forward to jumping into it," he said in an exclusive interview with AGRR magazine/glassbytes.com™ yesterday, but did not comment on any future plans. "It's too early in the transition," he said.

Although Bertellotti's background in insurance work flow tools might lead some to expect NAGS to emphasize the insurance side of its business, this will not be the case, according to James Patterson of NAGS. "We will continue to provide oversight as an impartial third party," he said, "without favor to any one constituency."

Bertelloti will be speaking at this year's IGA Conference. CLICK HERE for a full seminar schedule of this year's IGA Conference going on from May 17 - 19, at the Cashman Center of the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
