IGA's Indpendents' Days and Spring Glass Show Schedule Set The schedule of events for the Independent Glass Association's (IGA) annual Independents' Days conference and Spring Glass Show is now complete and available online. Attendees are invited to start their experience in Las Vegas with a round of golf in the Golf Tournament at the Legacy Golf Club on Wednesday, March 1. Registration for the four person teams begins at 7:30 a.m. and a shotgun start is to begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. The game will be played as a four-person scramble, when each team member hits one tee shot and the team decides which shot is best and all four players may hit from the location of that shot. Registration for the event is $199 per person and that includes golf cart and green fees, meal and prizes. Social activities continue that evening with a welcoming cocktail party sponsored by Dow Automotive. Seminars start with an opening address by IGA president Dave Zoldowski as he provides an overview of the conference, IGA's achievements in the past year and a preview of its strategy for the future. Other topics covered at this year's conference include: Understanding the Standards that Affect the Auto Glass industry: AGRSS and ROLAGS, an update on the anti-steering lawsuit, the IGA's legislative agenda and a look at what state chapters of trade organizations can do for the industry. The keynote speech this year will be given by Chuck Lloyd and is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2006. Lloyd, an attorney with Livgard and Rabuse, has spoken at IGA and other auto glass industry related functions over the years and returns this year to discuss the laws affecting the AGRR industry and how they affect shop owners. The IGA Conference is taking place in Las Vegas at the same time as the National Windshield Repair Association's (NWRA) annual convention and the International Window Film Tint-Off and Conference. All three groups may attend the Spring Glass Show as part of their registraions. |
