Liberty Mutual Changes Reporting Procedure

Liberty Mutual has notified shops that it has changed its procedures for reporting glass claims. In the past, the company has allowed glass shops to report glass claims on behalf of its insureds, but as of September 11, 2007, the company will require policyholders to report glass claims directly.

The company notes that any invoice submitted for work not previously reported by a policyholder and with a loss date after September 11 will be returned to the shop unpaid.

Liberty notes that it is making this change to make its glass claims reporting system more consistent with how its other claims are handled.
